Doctor Who

Started by: Stardelta (11947)

For those of a certain persuasion every episode dating back to the very first one in 1963 is now available on i-player.

Currently reliving the glory days with Jon Pertwee.

Never was a lover of Dr Who SD, even as a kid. Each to their own, enjoy

I didn't care for it, but a male nurse that I worked with simply lived to see the next instalment.

I watched Dr Who when I was a kid and fully enjoyed every episode that I saw.

I loved the early episodes of Doctor Who with William Hartnell. Only when the Daleks were on.
I was intrigued by them. And on the other hand, I was scared stiff of them.
I could never get in to the programme after the Daleks left. It went too sci-fi and far fetched for my liking.

Oh gawd ,,,,,,,

Help ,,,,,

And here's me thinking that Dalek's were far fetched

I was referring to the science fiction aspect of the programme.
Outer space, martians, cyber yetis etc. The stuff that you still believe exists. Have you jumped over that moon what is made of cheese, yet?

I enjoyed it as a kid as well, starting with William Hartnell, which was in black and white as I recall.

I tried to watch one of the more recent ones the other night, but I didn't like it.

As Mrs Cat said, it got too far-fetched.

Ive no idea about Coronation Street and Emmerdale Farm being far fetched. I don't watch them anymore. Although, I used to enjoy them back in the day along with Crossroads

I remember Dr Who back in my skool days and at that time, the darlecks were on the Mary Celest , By coincidence we were having a history lesson about the Mary Celest and the teecher told us it was a complete mystery, I spoke out and told the teecher that the darlecks took it, I think i was about 11 years old at the time but, The teecher was intrigued

I don't believe in ghosts.
I don't believe in religion.

Possibly there maybe a life force, a soul as it is called, our bodies are akin to a computer, and at sometime after birth, that life force is uploaded into our bodies, just like a computer operating system, and when we die the life force lives on awaiting a new body, that is what is known as reincarnation.

But what I am convinced of is that extra terrestrial, non-human intelligent beings are visiting our planet, because the evidence in that is 'overwhelming' and these beings choose to keep a low profile, but at some time in the future they may just present themselves to the human race by landing one of their craft in a public place, where it cannot be hushed up, so what will sceptical people like yourself say then ?

Where is this 'overwhelming' evidence that you keep chunnering on about as nobody has ever seen one (unless you have) and also where do they normally land their craft?

Edit.
Ive just remembered. They land them in farmers cornfields and leave big round circles in the field when they fly off.

In a public place
Until they land in a "public place" and I see it with my own eyes I will continue to be sceptical.
When I see them land in a "public place" like a town centre or Asda, Tesco, Ikea, Aldi, Lidl car park, etc
I will welcome them with mulled wine, champagne, Harveys Bristol Cream, and Cadburys Smash and I will instantly apologise to them for doubting their existence

Yes they doo, and normally at night in the pitch black, making perfect geometric shapes, some of which have been decoded as messages, and I say 'normally' at night, but someone actually filmed two objects spinning around each other over a crop field, and as they were doing that a crop circle was being formed, and that was in daylight.

The powers that be have now admitted to the existence of UAP's, but they say that they don't know what they are, but they are not a threat to this planet.

How do they know that they are not a threat to this planet ?

Yes, as I have said many times before, I once observed a UFO over Red Rock, in between Standish and Haigh

Tommy.
Are you a "Croppie"?
If so can you explain why the crop circles only appear between June and September?

Maybe that's when the crops are in the fields.

Erm ..............................................

Because cereal crops are only there, between June and September.

Am I a croppie though ?

Do I believe that they have been put there by extra-terrestrial visitors, and by that I mean it maybe humans time travelling, because a time traveller maybe from this planet, but is not of {{THIS}} world ?

I was always very sceptical of crop circles, and then I watched a few circle being created by hoaxers, and they could only create simple 'circles' and then they were crappy circles, the crops were not packed down enough, so how an hoaxer or hoaxers could create these geometric complex shapes in the pitch black is beyond me, so after a lot of thought, and I decided that they are indeed created by extra-terrestrial forces

Its not beyond me!
Maybe, just maybe these hoaxers had a generator to supply power to generate mobile lighting. Similar to a film crew filming at night. Or even portable high powered rechargable mobile spotlights. After all, they will not be seen hoaxing just the same as the Aliens who have never been seen landing their flying saucer

Righteo then, so I wonder why no one has seen something akin to a film crew filming crop 'shapes' being made in the middle of the night ?

I bet yon farmer would be chuffed to see that going on in a field of cereal.

As regards a flying saucer landing and not being seen ?

Maybe it had its lights switched off

Chesh,, some of these corn circles are geometrically perfickt , A person or persons with sticks and wellies on would not be able to create the symmetrical shapes , So therefore . how is it not beyond thee? how would you go about the really big displays we see from drones and satellite pictures ?
